Superb Results for Year 6 SATS

The Michael Faraday Senior Management Team and Year 6 teaching staff are absolutely thrilled with the results from the Key Stage 2 2014 SATS tests that have just been published. The Department for Education data shows that these are our highest ever achievement. The results are also above the national average across the curriculum.

The DfE website states:

In 2014, 90% of pupils attained Level 4 or above in the key stage 2 grammar, punctuation and spelling test. This is an increase of 20 percentage points since 2013.

In 2014, 98% of pupils attained Level 4 or above in the key stage 2 reading test. This is an increase of 16 percentage points since 2013.

In 2014, 90% of pupils attained Level 4 or above in the key stage 2 writing assessment. This is an increase of 20 percentage points since 2013.

In 2014, 93% of pupils attained Level 4 or above in the key stage 2 mathematics test. This is an increase of 13 percentage points since 2013.

Head Teacher Karen Fowler commented:

We are incredibly pleased with these results. This is a fantastic achievement from our 2014 Year 6 pupils. We need to thank our entire Year 6 teaching team, as well as the valuable home support provided by parents and carers. We are hopeful of achieving similar results for 2015.
