The Year 4 pupils at Michael Faraday School have been carrying out many different learning activities across the school curriculum during the first few weeks of the autumn term.
Our Religious Education learning has looked at the Hindu festival of Diwali. This is a timely topic to be learning with the celebrations starting very soon. Each class member has been decorating a Rangoli design ahead of the festival.
The pupils also presented a very thoughtful assembly to the other year groups all about the Hindu celebration of Diwali. The origins of the festival were explained, as well as a look out how Hindus might celebrate this special occasion in 2015.
Elsewhere in Year 4 and work is well underway on our main history topic of the Ancient Egyptians. The pupils have been fascinated by the process of mummification.
Recent ICT work has involved the children composing some music using a special piece of software. PE sessions have seen some fantastic gymnastic moves from some of the pupils.
A busy time in Year 4!
