Both Year 6 classes recently enjoyed a trip to the cinema at Surrey Quays. This was organised as part of a Film Festival that encourages students to take an active interest and appreciation of film.
The pupils were treated to a screening of the recent Paddington film. Most of the class members were already familiar with the story through reading the Paddington books. This was an an opportunity to see how the story had been adapted for the cinema. Most of the students thought that the film was fantastic!
Work will continue back at Michael Faraday School based on our cinema experience. Each class member will be writing a review of the film. We will ask the students to think about what they liked about the film, and what elements they thought maybe didn’t quite work.
