Both Reception classes are coming towards the close of a very successful first term at Michael Faraday School. Plenty of new learning and play activities have taken place since September. The teaching staff are already preparing for another fantastic term of teaching in the New Year!
One of the main learning topics for 2016 will be re-cycling and the environment. This is a theme that the children have already started to explore as part of their shark topic for the autumn term.
We will be reading the wonderful Michael Recycle book as part of this topic. A large part of the learning will be looking at our local environment, and how we can help to improve the re-cycling around where we live.
It would be fantastic if parents and carers of Reception children can help with some of the resources that we might need. Any cardboard or plastic items that you will be throwing out after the Christmas period will be gratefully received for some of the fun art projects that we have planned for the New Year.
