The Year 6 students have been introduced to the new iPads that are now available for all pupils to use at Michael Faraday School. The teaching staff will be using the iPads not only during ICT lessons, but also integrating the technology across other curriculum areas.
The iPads are a fantastic learning resource that have many apps installed that can be used across different subjects. Examples include maths, music and even art.
The first session with the Year 6 students was spent getting familiar with the feel of the iPads, and then exploring the apps and some of the options. A carefully selected range of apps has been installed.
We want all pupils to be able to explore the iPads and find out what can be achieved by using this technology. The first Year 6 introductory session saw plenty of enthusiasm from the students.
