The Year 6 students from Leanne’s Class featured this week on Channel 4 News as part of their current science learning all about air pollution.

The pupils have been part of a study project set up by Queen Mary University. We have been having regular sessions with Dr Abigail Whitehouse, exploring the relationship between air pollution and asthma.

Channel 4 News were keen to come into our school to find our more about our findings. The news broadcast was also looking at a recent report by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the current air pollution threat.

The Year 6 pupils impressed the Channel 4 News team with their knowledge and research on air pollution.
The news report observed:
“There is not much the pupils don’t know about air pollution.”
Comments from a couple of the Michael Faraday Year 6 pupils were also included in the broadcast.

You can watch Leanne’s class appearing on Channel 4 News on the catch up service over here. Scroll down to the 23 February broadcast. The short piece is available to view online until 1 March.
We would like to thank Queen Mary University for including Michael Faraday School as part of this research project, as well as Channel 4 News for visiting our school.
