Year 5 have been having plenty of fun playing the times table Splat challenge. As the name suggests, this is a game that helps to improve the multiplication knowledge of all pupils. This is one of the key maths themes for the Year 5 pupils throughout the spring term.
The Splat game involves a pair of pupils standing back-to-back. Class teacher Esther asks a multiplication question. This might range from the two times table up to the twelve times table.
This is a game that requires quick thought. The winner for each challenge is the pupil that is able to turn around first and answer the question correctly to splat their opponent.
The winner stays on to challenge the next competitor. The overall Year 5 Maths Splat champion is the pupil who answers correctly the final question. Plenty of fun, as you can see from the photos below.
