All years groups at Michael Faraday School made a magnificent contribution to Sports Relief with £1,217 being raised. Each year group staged their own fundraising activity throughout the week as part of their PE lessons.
The Nursery children held a skip-athon. All Reception children took on the yoga challenge. Year 1 staged an impressive dance-athon, whilst Year 3 took part in a step up challenge. Year 4 undertook relay races, Year 5 did some skipping, and Year 6 had a basketball hoop challenge.
The highlight of the Sports Relief week at Michael Faraday School was the staff and students basketball match. This was a fun event for the whole school community to enjoy. Adults and pupils were mixed up in two teams. We are incredibly proud of the £1,217 contribution to Sports Relief from our school community.
The sporting activity will continue after the Easter break. Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupils will start a weekly yoga bugs activity. This has the aim of improving our body movements, as well as being plenty of fun!
