The Reception children staged an Easter bonnet parade, and an Easter Egg hunt in the nearby park just ahead of the end of term break. The children were asked to design and create an Easter bonnet as part of their homework. Some amazing creations were then displayed back in the classroom.
Our attention after the Easter break will turn towards the topic of dinosaurs. We have planned a Reception trip the fantastic Horniman Museum on 19th April. This will be an opportunity for the children to see the dinosaur exhibition that has recently opened.
It would be wonderful if any dinosaur related books could be read over the Easter holidays at home. The teaching staff are also incredibly keen for the children to keep up their daily phonic learning. This can be as simple as working with your child to write a short shopping list, carefully pronouncing the words together.
