The Journalism Club students at Michael Faraday School have been working incredibly hard over the past week to meet the deadline for our first publication. Students from Year 5 and Year 6 have been meeting after school throughout the spring and summer term to help improve their journalism skills.
Tuition has been giving on how to find a good story, and what elements we need to build into our story to make it an interesting read. This has been a very practical project, with the Journalism Club sourcing stories from around our school.
The end result is the imminent publication of Faraday Best Bits – our end of year round up of the school year at Michael Faraday. The title was chosen as part of a school-wide competition launched by the Journalism Club students. The winning suggestion came from Felix in Year 4.
An art competition was also staged for the front and back cover. We are proud to be able to showcase the art skills of Lucy and Desree in Year 5 when we publish Faraday Best Bits before the end of the term.
