We are celebrating at Michael Faraday School after our fantastic Year 5 quiz team were once again crowned as the champions of the London Knowledge Quiz. Our team of six London quiz specialists recently triumphed in the prestigious final that was held at the Museum of London.
This is the second year in a row that Michael Faraday School has won the quiz that is open for all schools across London. We have developed quite a reputation at the Museum of London for the level of interest that our pupils have shown in learning about their city.
Plenty of preparation went into the quiz. Staff member Dave was able to use his expertise London knowledge to coach the pupils. All of the planning clearly paid off as the team successfully completed the two online rounds that were required to gain a place in the final.
The final itself was a very special occasion for the Year 5 students. Four rounds were competed: Iconic London, What Tube Line Am I, London Inventions and a round that required knowledge of a specific gallery at the museum.
Michael Faraday School finished with an incredibly impressive final points total of 153. The other two teams in the final found some of the questions a little tricky, with 35 and 31 points.
A trophy was awarded to the team at the end of the quiz. Our prize is a day out at kidzania in East London.
Congratulations Team Michael Faraday!
