Year 2 have started to sew some penguins puppets as part of our learning based on the Lost and Found book. This tells the story of a penguin that becomes lost, but then finds a friend in a young boy who helps the penguin to find his way home once again.
The idea to make some puppets came after our wonderful Year 2 trip to the Horniman Museum. The children were able to attend a workshop looking at puppets from around the world. We saw how puppets can have an important role when it comes to storytelling.
The Year 2 penguins puppets are very much a work in progress. We are also going to make a stick man puppet of the boy, and then put on a Year 2 end of term puppet production of Lost and Found.
