The new Year 5 students at Michael Faraday School are very excited about their treble recorder lessons. Having been introduced to the descant recorder in Year 3 and then the ukulele in Year 4, the next stage of this learning is to progress to the treble recorder.
Some early maths learning has also taken place involving an artistic approach to problem solving. Different coloured building blocks were used to build a small tower. Each colour was then matched to a particular sum that needed to be solved. This then led to a series of six numbers. The final code could only be broken once these numbers has been added up.
