Michael Faraday School is incredibly proud to announce that we have joined the Millwall Partnership Scheme. This is a project that connects our local club with the community. Pupils throughout the school will be able to benefit as we learn a little more about the commitment that it takes to become a professional footballer.
We were thrilled to recently welcome Millwall player Mahlon Romeo into our school. Mahlon very kindly gave up his time to speak with the Key Stage 2 children about his career, and the training that he has to take to become successful.
The pupils were able to hear about the healthy lifestyle choices that Mahlon makes, and some of the sacrifices that are required to perform at this level of football. A Q&A session also took place. Mahlon was impressed with the level of questioning by some of the pupils.
Regular visits will continue between the club and our school as part of the Millwall Partnership. Some of the pupils will also get the opportunity to visit the New Den to have a look behind the scenes, as well as hopefully attending some matches. We are very pleased to be able to support our local football club.
