Many different Christmas activities have been keeping the Year 1 children busy during the final few weeks of the autumn term at Michael Faraday School. Some Christmas maths counting work has taken place.
The children have been adding the correct number of baubles, bows and stars to a Christmas tree. Some of the higher ability groups have been answering addition and subtraction sums based around the idea of an Advent calendar.
The Year 1 children also put in a very impressive performance at the Key Stage 1 Winter Concert. We prepared for the event by making some colour Christmas hats. These will also be worn by the Year 1 children whilst they enjoy their school Christmas dinner.
Other seasonal activities include some Christmas cards that the children are designing to send to their family and friends.
