Year 4 have produced some amazing work for Poetry Week inspired by the poem The Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll. This is a powerful piece of writing that has excited the imagination of the pupils.
We have broken down each part of the poem to analyse it. Year 4 were asked to identify which words are real words, and which are made up.
The pupils have also described what they think the Jabberwocky might look like. Artwork has also been created to show some of these ideas.
Our Poetry Week celebration came to a close with small groups of Year 4 pupils reciting the Jabberwocky. We worked with our friends to create a unique visual interpretation of the poem. You can watch a selection of these videos below.
