Year 5 have returned to their weekly treble recorder session with Danny following the Easter break. Each pupil has their own treble recorder which they are trusted to look after. Danny encourages the class members to practise at home.
We started a recent session with a physical warm up. Year 5 followed the instructions from Danny as she tapped her shoulders, knees and toes. We were then listened to a simple melody. One of the pupils was able to recognise that it had the same rhythm as our tapping routine.
Danny then developed the Tobago Tango song. We learnt the words, rhythm and pitch. These skills were transferred over to the treble recorders. There are many different notes to play in the song. Year 5 will be perfecting these over future weeks.
