The Nursery children are continuing to have fun with their summer term dragon topic. Staff member Michelle very kindly brought in her bearded dragon lizard from home to show to the children. We had plenty of questions to ask and were able to see the bearded dragon eating his lunch.
Dragon poetry has also been enjoyed in the Nursery. The children have been listening to the tale of the Old Dragon who Swallowed a Knight. This is a twist on the traditional story.
We have been using music and movementto think about how dragons might move. The Nursery children have been using colourful scarves to show the dragon flames coming out of their mouths.
Finally we have combined our dragon fun with some practical gardening. The children have been busy preparing a dragon shelter for any local dragons to live in. We have designed posters to place around the shelter. The children have also potted some plants to place outside.
