The 2018 Michael Faraday Year 6 play was another fantastic production with singing, acting and plenty of corny jokes! Both classes have been rehearsing to stage What a Knight since the second half of the summer term.
Two performances took place: one in the afternoon and one in the evening. This allowed for the parts to be rotated. All pupils were able to take on a significant role to help showcase their talents.
We started our production with the superb narrator welcoming us to Camelot in the Year 531. It soon became clear that the plot centred on King Arthur wanting to create a new Knight in his Honour’s List.
The search for a suitable new Knight was far from smooth. The star of our show attended Knight School, but wasn’t the ideal Knight material. Throw into the plot a dark Knight and his hapless helpers, and we soon had a show!
All Year 6 pupils were line perfect after weeks of practice. We had some confident acting as well as some amazing singing. This included some very powerful solo performances from some of the students.
What a Knight came together with some dazzling costumes and a powerful back drop. The Year 6 support staff team of Dilek, Ragini and Jacqui worked wonders in transforming our school ballroom into Camelot.
A huge thank you must also go to the Producers Leanne and Rebecca. This has been a major project in which to finish off an incredibly busy school year.
We would also like to thank the many parents and carers who were able to come along and support the pupils. We are happy to relive the memories with the videos and photos below.
What a Knight!
