Nursery Owl and the Pussy Cat Learning

The Nursery children are enjoying reading The Owl and the Pussy Cat. We have made some large boats using the building blocks in the Nursery. The children have acted out the scenes with the help of a ukulele and a toy owl.

Early maths work has continued with the children learning about circles. We have looked around our indoor and outdoor space to spot any circles. Plenty of circle artwork has been created.

Night and Day is another topic for the spring term. The Nursery children have spoken about what they do during the daytime at school, and how this differs to our night time routine. We will soon start to read Wow Said the Owl to help with this topic.

Finally we are looking forward to Book Week. Our Nursery reading book will be How The Leopard Got His Spots. The children will look at the work of the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Spots feature in her designs.
