Celebrating the Chinese New Year in the Nursery

The Nursery children have enjoyed celebrating the Chinese New Year. We held a tasting session with noodles on the menu. Some of the children were able to eat using Chinese chopsticks.

Jasmin tea was offered as a drink. The children were invited to smell some fresh mint that is used to create the tea.

We have decorated the entrance to our class door in red. This is a Chinese tradition for the New Year. It symbolises good luck for the year ahead.

The children have had pig designs painted on their faces. This is to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Pig!
