Our weekly Michael Faraday achievement assembly recently had many reasons to celebrate. Each Friday all pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 gather to celebrate the work that has been achieved in the past week.
Deputy Head Teacher Paul presents pupils with a special sticker in recognition of any outstanding work. Class teachers are asked to nominate two pupils each week for their exceptional work or attitude.
Different themes are suggested each week for the assembly. A recent celebration focussed on pupils who try their best.
This was the first achievement assembly since the recent parent’s evening. Many teachers commented on how they were able to see an improvement in the the pupils since the first parent’s evening during the autumn term.
We heard how some pupils have made great progress with their handwriting and mental maths. A couple of Year 6 students were selected for being superb role models.
Other reasons included representing the class with pride, helping friends solve problems and sharing ideas with the class.
Congratulations to all the achievers.
