Spring term learning in the Reception classes has been all about sharks! The children have enjoyed the Surprising Sharks story. We have also looked at other non-fiction books to learn more about sharks.
A listening exercise has taken place to help the children to think about life underneath the ocean. We heard some calming sea music being played. The children carried out some mark making using the sea music as the inspiration.
Diagrams of sharks have also been labelled. This was a good opportunity for the children to use some of their phonics knowledge.
Finally it is worth mentioning the maths progress that has taken place in the Reception classes. A recent activity involved subtraction. The children have counted backwards to understand how we can move up and down the number line.
