The Year 6 end of term play was yet again another fantastic celebration of the acting, singing and dancing talent at Michael Faraday School. Our Year 6 leavers proudly presented The X Factory.
This was a play that involved some colourful teaching characters, a school inspection and some very corny jokes. The characters and plot were most definitely fictional. They has no resemblance to our wonderful school community!
Both Year 6 classes have worked together on staging The X Factory since SATS finished in May. A tremendous amount of planning and preparation has gone into the play.
Auditions led to suitable roles being assigned for each student. Two performances took place to give everyone a chance at having their moment in the limelight.
Some great individual and group performances were on show. The plot required plenty of singing, dancing and some sharp acting. All pupils have worked hard at learning their lines.
The highlight was a freestyle Faraday rap. The pupils came up with the lyrics to help remember and celebrate their many achievements at Michael Faraday.
The outcome was a very funny play that Year 6 can be proud of. This is the final piece of work that the pupils have worked on as Michael Faraday students. It was a fitting way for us to remember their many talents.
We would like to thank all the staff who have worked behind the scenes to stage The X Factory. Class teachers Leanne and Rebecca took on the joint Director role. Staff members Dilek and Ragini were resourceful with the scenery, costumes and props. We would also like to thank our music teacher Noura for her guidance.
It was great to see so many parents and carers being able to support the Year 6 pupils and enjoy the play. We are happy to share a selection of videos and photosbelow.
