Team work is the key to succeeding in Year 3 PE lessons! The pupils are playing games that need everyone to work together if we want to reach our aims.
A recent session started with a simple relay race. This was a lively event with plenty of noise and encouragement!
Class teacher Kate then added in some new ideas. The children were asked to rearrange themselves in the running order around their age. No verbal communication was allowed. Each team shared tips on how they approached this.
An obstacle course was then set up around the gym. Cones were placed randomly between one end of the space and the opposite wall.
One team member was blind-folded. The role of our team mates was to help them navigate across the gym with verbal instructions.
We finished our session with another blind-folded team member being guided to pick up a specific coloured cone.
