Year 2 are very excited about their new dragon topic after returning from the half term break. We are reading the book The Dragon Machine.
This has led the children to consider if dragons are real, or if they are fiction. The pupils set out on a dragon hunt around the school to help us with this learning.
We were amazed to find some hidden dragons in unlikely places! The children were keen to share this knowledge with friends from around the school. We decided to write a guide to spotting dragons at Michael Faraday.
The key focus was on positional language. Class teachers Sally and Emma asked the children to use words to describe where we can find the Dragons. There was also a strong use of verbs, prepositions and conjunctions.
