Introduction to Internet Safety in the Nursery

The Nursery children are learning about Internet safety. We have been singing a special song to help us remember how to stay safe.

All the children have signed up to a Digisafe contract. This is a fun and easy way to remind us how we should use the Internet.

One of the most important things we have learnt is how to handle pop-ups. The children all now know that they need to tell their Mummy or Daddy if they see a pop-up.

We have created some special individual badges. These will be placed alongside the Digisafe contract to show that we have understood it.

Elsewhere in the Nursery and we are continuing with our Mayflower project. This explores different ways that children may go on a journey.

We are thinking about what items we might take on a long journey. One of the children came up with the idea of a passport. We decided that iPads weren’t needed on the Mayflower!

Each class member has designed their own flag to fly on the ship. These are on display in our classroom.

Our next Nursery topic will look at growing our own food. Staff members have already bought some seeds to sew head of the summer season.
