Kul’s Year 4 class have started work on ICT coding. We are using a piece of software called Scratch. The pupils are trialling this to see what they can learn.
This involves working through a set of instructions to put together a short sequence of code. The aim is to be able to create a setting, and then place a character in the setting and manipulate them around the screen.
The scratch software becomes more advanced as the pupils progress through it. They will learn how to build in different sequences of commands, and to follow the logic of how the code works.
