Shapes, Fairytales and Tidying Up in the Faraday Nursery!

The Nursery children have started a new topic looking at shapes. We have used lolly sticks to make our own shapes. The children have made squares and triangles by rearranging the resources.

A hidden shape game has also been played. Class teachers Catherine and Deanna hid a shape behind another object. They slowly revealed more of the shape. The children were asked to identify what they can see.

Class reading in the Nursery has focused on fairytales. The children are learning the story of the Gingerbread Man and the Three Little Pigs.

We are also encouraging the children to take care of their surroundings and tidy up after each play session. The class members have been learning where we keep our many resources. These are labelled to help us find where to put them.
