Year 3 Drama Role Play and Portuguese Ceramic Artwork

Year 3 are reading Into the Forest by Anthony Browne as our main class shared reading book. This is a mysterious piece of text, with many descriptive passages.

The pupils have used drama and role-play to help understand some of the emotions of the characters. We worked in small groups and focused on a pacific scene in the story.

These were then acted out in front of our other friends. We asked our class mates for some feedback on our acting skills.

Elsewhere in Year 3 and our European Language of the Week Portuguese theme has continued.

Rafiat’s class has produced some beautiful Portuguese Azuletlos artwork. These are decorative glazed ceramic tiles. Many Portuguese shops and cafés have these lined on the outside.

Our wonderful artwork is now on display outside the Year 3 classroom.
