The Year 2 children have had great fun learning all about fireworks. Our English learning has seen the class members think of some wonderful describing words for fireworks.
We have used alliteration to come up with phrases such as flickering flames, burning bonfires and sparkling spangles. We have put these phrases into some colourful posters.
Other artwork in Year 2 has looked at fireworks in London. The children spent a little time identifying some of the major landmarks in our city.
We then cut out a backdrop showing buildings such as the London Eye, the Shard, and the Houses of Parliament. These were then decorated with our firework pictures.
