Spring Term 2021 COVID-19 Update from Head Teacher

30 December 2020

Dear Families

I hope that you have had a happy and healthy Christmas.

You may be aware that there was an announcement by Gavin Williamson this afternoon with details of when schools will reopen after the Christmas holiday. In some areas, primary schools will remain closed for an additional two weeks to help to control the virus; Southwark is one of these areas. This means that Faraday will be closed to pupils for the first two weeks of term and that teaching will take place via Google classroom from Tuesday 5th January.

We will do all that we can to remain open for the children of critical workers and for children with certain needs. If you are a critical worker and it is essential for your child to attend school during this period, please complete this form and return it by Monday 4 January.

Breakfast Club and After School Club will not operate during this lockdown. I would remind you that the safest place for your child is at home and if you can make arrangements so that s/he does not need to come to school, they should not attend.

Further details about home learning will follow.

Keep safe and well.

Kind regards,

Karen Fowler
Headteacher
