Listen to Year 3 Cautionary Tales English Work

Year 3 are carrying out some creative work based around our fairytales topic. We have looked at the idea of cautionary tales. These are stories that have a consequential message.

An example might be if you don’t clean your teeth, then you might develop tooth decay.

Each class member has written their own consequential story. They were given a free choice about the subject matter and the characters. We weren’t short on creative ideas! Some of the stories feature dragons, electricity and schools. Pictures were added to accompany our stories.

You can listen to a selection of the Year 3 children reading out their consequential stories in the recordings below.
