Many activities took place throughout Michael Faraday School as part of Culture Week 2021. We are very fortunate in our school in that we have children from many different backgrounds who are able to share their knowledge.
Different activities took place across various year groups. Cooking was one of the main themes. Japanese sushi food and Indian barfi both featured.
Artwork also took place. The Key Stage 2 children created some colourful Indian diya lamp pots. African drumming sessions were also held.
We ended the week with some cultural dancing. The children were given expert tuition in Bollywood and traditional Indian dancing.
All pupils were encouraged to wear any traditional costumes from their home countries on the final day of Culture Week. It was great to see so many amazing costumes on show.
