Year 4 are continuing with their weekly Spanish lessons. We have previously looked at the weather. A recent lesson had a quick recap on this topic, and then it was time to learn something new: Spanish ice creams!
We watched a short PowerPoint presentation. This helps the children with the Spanish pronunciations for the various flavours of ice cream.
We then looked at how to ask for an ice cream in Spanish. We noticed some similarities with the English and Spanish words used.
A conversation was held with a partner. One friends was asked to order an ice cream from their classmate.
We are fortunate to have some native Spanish speakers in our year group. They are always available to to give support and guidance.
Our lesson came to an end with each class member drawing their favourite ice cream and labelling the topping in Spanish.
