Parents Getting Involved
Michael Faraday recognises the vital role parents play in their child's education and we hope that parents, pupils and teachers will work in partnership to promote positive learning within and beyond the school gate. There are many ways in which parents and carers can support the work of the school. Most importantly, parents really help us when they support their child in coming to school on time and ready to learn each day.
We welcome parents to volunteer to read with the children in school, but we ask that they commit themselves to a regular time slot so that we can plan for and rely on their attendance. Any parents interested should please contact Sarah (DHT) via the school office. All adults who regularly work in school are subject to full police and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, which the school will organise.
Positive Parenting
The NSPCC has produced a very helpful 'Need-to-know Guide' for parents and carers. It can be challenging to balance all the demands that parents and carers have to cope with, so do have a look at some tips to help.
Workshops for Parents and Carers
We will keep you informed about any forthcoming workshops.
Faraday PACT (Parents and Carers Together
Faraday PACT (Parents and Carers Together) are a group set up by our school community to fundraise and organise events for the benefit of all our children. They aim to organise termly events such as raffles and fairs in order to raise money to subside school trips and visitors, in support of our aim to make our learning memorable for the children.
It is also a good way for parents and carers to meet each other and make new friends, so all parents and carers are welcome.
If you would like to get involved, speak to Sarah (Deputy Headteacher).
